Bryan Crofts' Campbell Enterprises Ultra4 4400 Race Truck vs. Chevy Chick Laura Wright's LS Swapped Pro-Touring Camaro

On Friday, Bryan Crofts race car proved unstoppable against an El Camino, but today he has to take on the much more popular Chevy Chick's Camaro and her hundreds of thousands of followers. It is going to be tough; Laura already beat another popular off road racer in the last round.

Motorsports don’t get more exotic than the high speed rock crawlers that race King of the Hammers. Don’t let the dirt fool you, these are precision, high tech machines. The tires are gargantuan, the suspension travel can be measured in feet, and the power and torque are the equal of anything in NASCAR. The Campbell independent front suspension chassis lets Bryan scale trails littered with boulders the size of Buicks, and still blast across the desert at triple digits. Already having a huge following before, the model has reached a whole new audience posing with, and driving her car at events. They are not just a pretty pair, she burns rubber and gets some very quick times on the autocross course and in Ultimate Street Car competition thanks to the built LSX, 6 speed manual, Speedtech Suspension, and big Wilwood brakes. Bryan Crofts Campbell Enterprises Ultra4 4400 Advances!

We really thought this was going to be a closer matchup, since Chris Decker's 1967 Chevy El Camino had done so well in his preliminary matchups. But Bryan Crofts' off-road Ultra4 Unlimited race car proved unstoppable! When the votes were tallied 84% of them wanted to play in the dirt!

Day 14: Friday April 1st -

Bryan Crofts Campbell Enterprises Ultra4 4400 Race Truck vs. Chris Decker's Pro-Touring 1967 El Camino

Bryan Crofts’ truck is all business as it levels up the trails in Ultra4 competition, while Chris Decker's El Camino is a party under the hood, but business out back, as it hauls cargo as well as just plain hauling. Which one is more your speed?

Chris Decker has had this same 1967 El Camino for more than 20 years, from high school, through his days as a young weekend drag racer, through fatherhood. With age comes wisdom, and the latest version is the smartest build yet, with a supercharged LS motor, modern brakes and suspension, and a six speed for relaxed high speed cruising. Gone is the built big block with nitrous, but with an estimated 800 hp, it is still plenty fast in a straight line, and now corners too. Blake Wilkey “Jaws” VW Beetle Trophy Truck vs. Chevy Chick 1973 Chevy “Olive” Camaro Pro Touring Car

How will the Instagram influential Chevy Chick's Camaro do when matched up against the baddest Baja bug ever built (by a man with his own substantial internet following)? Cast your vote then come back tomorrow and find out!

Baja Ready Trophy Truck with VW Bug Body

It is safe to say that Blake Wilkey loves the VW Bug. Jaws has the unmistakable shape of a VW body at its core, but it rides on a custom built trophy truck chassis with power and suspension travel Baja Bugs can only dream of. A supercharged 427 c.i. LS motor is in the front now, putting power to 40” tires, with more than 2 feet of suspension travel front and rear. Chris Decker 1967 Chevy El Camino vs. Proving Grounds Racing Miller Motorsports Ultra4 4400 Race Jeep

An unstoppable Ultra4 Unlimited Jeep, against a man who has rebuilt the same El Camino more than three times for street, drag, and multi-purpose use. Are you into doing the same car over again as your tastes change and evolve, or an off-road machine that can go where there are no roads?

Brent Jennings 1964 Ford Falcon Pro Touring Car vs. Chevy Chick 1973 Chevy “Olive” Camaro Pro Touring Car

A home built, super clean, pavement pounding Ford Falcon takes on Instagram influencer's built Chevy Camaro. Which car do you prefer?

Garage Built Falcon Flies on the Autocross Course

It has taken more than twenty years for Brent and his dad to polish a run-of-the-mill, one owner Ford Falcon into the gem seen here. Along the way, they designed and installed many of their own suspension parts, and a 408 c.i. 351 Windsor based V8. With that much motor and the compact dimensions and light weight of a Falcon, this bird really flies. Brent drives it on the street, but the track and autocross are where it really shines, out running cars built with much bigger budgets but not as much effort, thought, and custom fabrication. And they are always working on making it better. See more of it on his Instagram:

Out of the tragedy of an RX7 show car catching fire, John Ubalde’s Corvette powered JDM sports car was born. Built originally as a practical cruiser with AC and gobs of torque, the show car quality still shines through. Blake Wilkey “Jaws” VW Beetle Trophy Truck vs. KC’s Paint Shop 1968 Ford “Frankenstein” F100 with Blown V8 Power

We must admit, we were a little surprised to see the Ford Truck beat the brute force and novelty of a 1000+hp AWD Acura in the first round. How will the baddest Baja bug ever built do when matched against smooth "bumpside" F100?

But,if it wasn't for the 19" wheels showing off huge Wilwood brakes, you could mistake this pickup for just another cruiser with a perfect paint job. K.C. has been evolving this project since before he could legally drive it. A home built, super clean, pavement pounding Falcon takes on a down and dirty, pro built off road racing side by side. Which car is more your speed?

Hot Rod EV Truck is Hybrid of Classic and Future

Salvage 2 Savage makes the most of the least, typically with lots of fabrication talent. One of their latest projects mates a classic 80s Chevy C10 with the power of a wrecked Tesla dual motor Model S, for an all-wheel-drive EV truck. Proving that electric vehicles aren’t just about saving the polar bears, this truck was made to drag race, drift, and cruise with the fastest cars around. Based on Tesla’s numbers for the car they came out of, this lighter truck ought to hit 60 mph in about 3 seconds, thanks to about 800 electric horsepower. Wilwood brakes, including a hand brake for drifting, supplement the regenerative electric brakes. See more of it on their Instagram:

Sponsored by Whipple superchargers, it is a factory X3 turbo which started out with about 200 hp in stock form, and now is probably closer to 300. The Drifter’s New Ride, with FJ Cruiser Power

Kenshiro has been competing in drift events since before he could legally drive a street car, winning $10,000 against pros from all over the world while he was still only 16. For the past few seasons he has been in a Toyota Supra, but for 2022 a new from the ground up Toyota GR86 is being prepared, with 4.0 liter engine from a FJ Cruiser V6 plus forced induction for more tire melting power. American Legends 1968 Ford “Corruptt” Mustang with Ferrari V12 vs. Bryan Crofts Campbell Enterprises Ultra4 4400 Race Truck

First generation Mustang builds are fairly common, but this one goes to a whole other level, much in the way Bryan Crofts’ truck levels up the trails in Ultra4 competition. Which one is more your speed?

Exotic “Corruptt” Mustang Turbo Ferrari Hot Rod

Some people take the easy way, and some people dare to be different. Powering a pony car with the v12 prancing horse motor from a Ferrari F430 is already hero level stuff, but then American Legends added twin turbos to boost it to 700 screaming horses. Power goes through a T56 transmission, and RideTech suspension makes sure it gets to the ground. Wilwood 14” brakes bring everything to a halt when the time comes. See more of it on their Instagram:

Superformance Future 40 GT40 Replica vs. Blake Wilkey “Jaws” VW Beetle Trophy Truck

This unusual matchup pits sleek on road performance vs. lifted off road performance, but both come in the shape of rear engined 1960s icons. Which one do you want to put through its paces?

Classic GT40 with Modern EcoBoost Turbo Power

Superformance has made GT40s for much longer than Ford did, and the latest combines the classic shape with power from Ford’s 21st century supercar. The twin turbo 3.5 liter V6 is rated at 650 hp, so they added modern carbon fiber aero bits to improve the classic 1960s shape and reduce lift at speed. A sweet handling fully independent suspension, big modern wheels, and Wilwood discs keep all that power under control, and there is even AC to help you keep your cool behind the wheel. TCI Engineering 1967 Ford Mustang Autocross Restomod vs. John Ubalde 1993 Mazda RX7 with Corvette LS1 Swap

Ed Moss of TCI built a Mustang to showcase their chassis parts at autocross events, while John Ubalde built his RX7 show car to be a fast, corner carver that showed well on the weekends. Which one would you rather drive?

Classic Mustang Autocross Restomod

Total Cost Involved Engineering is one of the original companies that taught muscle cars how to handle, and this Mustang is one of their test beds. Company owner Ed Moss now regularly drives it at autocross events to show their parts don’t just look good, they work well. Power comes from a 351W based motor, punched out to 427 c.i. and dynoed at more than 550 hp and lb-ft of torque. Huge sticky tires help the 14” Wilwood discs stop it on a dime, while the TCI suspension helps it carve the corners. See more of it on their Instagram:

Myles Kerr 1994 Acura Integra GS-R Turbo Drag Car vs. KC’s Paint Shop 1968 Ford “Frankenstein” F100 with Blown V8 Power

One is a Japanese car from the 90s with a small four-cylinder, the other is a classic domestic truck from the 60s with a V8, but they are both green, and dyno at more than 1000 hp at the crank thanks to forced induction. Which one is more your style?

200+mph AWD Turbo Integra GS-R

For years, this car was one of the fastest FWD street drag cars, hitting more than 180 mph in the 1/4 mile, and over 200 mph on the 1/2. The built Honda motor uses all the best internals, and as much as 60 psi of boost to make nearly 1400 hp at the wheels. Now it has been converted to AWD, to launch harder and better take on the exotics like Lambos and Porsches. The best part is it is still street registered and drivable. I bought a pair of 12.5" Wilwood rotors, steel hats and four piston calipers for the 9" Ford rear end tubes, that take the new style Torino big brake setup. Should help stop my 1941 Plymouth Ratrod with style!
