We don't want to scare you, but the Fox Mustang is now old enough to qualify for antique plates with many state DMVs. The C4 Corvettes are as old now as the C1 Corvettes were when the 4th Generation was new. A brief look at the auction sites online will confirm that cars from the 1980s and 1990s are finally getting respect from collectors, partially because Generation X is getting mid-life nostalgia.
Radwood is a series of car shows and lifestyle events celebrating the era of break dancing, boom boxes, and BMX bikes, when performance triumphed over smog regulation. They welcome any vehicle built between 1980 and 1999, cars, trucks, and motorcycles, but also love to see street rods built in that era's pastel and billet style. Honda North America teamed up with Radwood's organizers to hold the Southern California event on Honda's Torrance, CA campus and debut the new Acura Integra.
Wilwood was not there in any official capacity, but we did visit and take pictures of some of the cool vehicles we saw there. We were happy to see the large number of Honda and Acura vehicles there, especially the ones using the Wilwood DynaPro Honda caliper for 262mm rotors. Some cars we spotted on Wilwoods use off-the shelf kits that are still available, while some use obsolete kits or kits utilizing third party brackets. Other cars in the slideshow are not using Wilwood brakes, but we though they were cool anyway.
