Wilwood's ten-pound residual pressure valves compensate for strong return spring tension with drum brakes and maintain wheel cylinder sealing in the drums, which helps keep the brake shoes closer to the drum for faster engagement, as well as preventing a vacuum that could draw air into the system.

Two- and four-pound residual valves are also available. A two-pound valve is used in disc brake applications where the master cylinder is mounted below the horizontal plane of the calipers. Four-pound valves can benefit high-vibration brake systems like off-road or dirt circle track racing.

Residual Pressure Valves are made from billet aluminum and color-coded for easy identification. Valves are available with or without additional fittings. Valves with fittings are supplied with two 1/8-27 NPT to 3/8-24 inverted flare female fittings that will fit most domestic 3/16th hard brake lines.
